Westinghouse Releases New, Affordable LED HDTVs

Westinghouse Digital Electronics announced the release of new and affordable LED HDTVs.  Now, owning a high-end, large-screen television without hurting your pocketbook is possible. They are available in 37,” 42″ and 55″ and are super-thin and power efficient.

All the new Westinghouse LED HDTV sets carry 1″ thick edges, 1.5″ thick at the glass and a sleek high gloss black frame with red accents.  The new screens incorporate advanced technology that detects when screen images are moving quickly and inserts additional picture frames to ensure smooth, clear and sharp images with stunning viewing quality. Westinghouse is combining its 120Hz with video-processing features that smooth images and help to eliminate judder (a visual artifact that sometimes occurs when film is transferred to video).

The only downside is perhaps that these new LED HDTVs are not 3-D ready. They don’t provide support for HDMI 1.4a.  However, the lower prices mean no surprises regarding the lack of 3-D capabilities.
