Review from: ALCHEMIST111
This is an excellent TV for the price. I compared the performance of this TV with the Samsung LN-T4665F and was amazed to see it give up very little to the highly rated Samsung. HD looks amazing and SD isn't too bad either. Color reproduction is good, but tends to be a bit skewed towards green right out of the box. The TV has several options to save user settings and once tweaked, it performed amazingly well. Skin tone reproduction was excellent after tweaking it and then I was really able to crank up color saturation. There was no ghosting when watching the last race scene in "The Fast and the Furious". The contrast ratio practically is quite good but low contrast detail is sometimes lost especially in darker areas.

Top-Notch Value HDTV
August 22, 2007

Strengths: Value, price, variety of inputs/outputs, size, and clarity.
Weaknesses: Stand, only one coaxial connection, and packaging.
Summary: I spent almost a year researching various LCD and plasma HDTVs before I chose the Westinghouse TX-series 47" LCD HDTV. It had everything I was looking for: great value, 1080p, incredible clarity, every input/output I could need, and a large display with minimal shell-casing around it. This model is highly comparable to the high-end similar HDTVs by Samsung, Sony, and Sharp, but at half the cost.
Reasonably priced 47
September 4, 2007

Strengths: Price, sound, picture, design, dimensions and overall value.
Weaknesses: None yet
Summary: Between the sale price and an additional 12% off coupon, I paid just over $1,500.00 for this TV with a 4 year warrant at my local Best Buy. I initially was looking at a Samsung for about twice that price, but the picture on this set is very good and the sound is very, very good. Why spend twice as much for a little more? With an upconvert DVD player, DVDs look excellent. For a first time LCD HDTV buyer, I highly recommend. Tomorrow, I pick up the cable HDTV tuner.
